To celebrate the ongoing success of our partner charity Aberdeen FC Community Trust (AFCCT), we are encouraging all AFC supporters to turn out for our match with Ross County at Pittodrie on Saturday 22^nd February, which has been designated as this season’s AFC Community Trust Day!

This fixture, now in its 4^th season, will take on additional significance with the club and AFCCT winning ‘Best Professional Football Club’ in the prestigious 2019 UEFA Grassroots Awards.

In a collaborative approach working with the Scottish FA, the club has developed a model of best practice nationally with shared goals and resources, in a bid to develop a collective vision of increasing football participation in the region.

The result is this recognition from UEFA as the ‘Best Professional Club’ and is testament to the partnership working within our City and region.

The UEFA Best Professional Football Club prize rewards outstanding grassroots work by a professional club, promoting in particular a holistic approach to grassroots football and providing for a wide range of participants.

In a bid to engage with community groups, schools and sports teams, a number of free tickets are available for the above categories to apply for. To apply for tickets please email ticketoffice@afc.co.uk by 30^th January, stating which category your group falls into and how many tickets you would like to apply for.

Please note, tickets will be distributed on a first-come-first served basis. In order to accommodate as many groups as possible we may not be able to allocate the number of tickets requested.

On the day and throughout the week of the match AFCCT will enjoy an increased profile throughout with various activities taking place to spread the community spirit and feel-good factor generated by our partner charity.
