Holiday Coaching

Participants should wear suitable kit for the weather conditions. With the unpredictable nature of Scottish weather, it is advised to take a jacket for all outdoor sessions!

Appropriate footwear - trainers suitable for sport or football boots (no metal studded boots if your session is on Astroturf)

Bring water or still juice - preferably in a labelled bottle.

Lunch/Snacks - For all full day programmes you will be required to bring a suitable packed lunch and snacks for throughout the day.

Our Holiday Coaching programmes are delivered by AFCCT coaches who are Scottish FA certified and have current First Aid training. We boast a number of highly experienced and qualified staff members including those who have Scottish FA and UEFA licences who are actively involved in the implementation and the delivery of our activities.

AFCCT Holiday Coaching programmes are designed to offer suitable opportunities for children of various ages and experience. The main focus of our Holiday Coaching is to provide a positive and fun experience for all attendee’s while hopefully improving their game at the same time!

Our programmes consist of three levels:

Participation - Encouraging young players to enjoy football and have fun. Focusing on developing skills through fun activities and playing small-sided games. Sessions are adapted based on the age and stage of the participants.

Development - These camps are great for kids who already play football with more emphasis placed on Player Development. Content will be designed to improve technical ability with a particular focus on dominating 1v1 situations and playing different game formats from 4v4 up to 9v9.

Performance - These programmes are designed for highly motivated players who want to take their performance to the next level.

Performance sessions are delivered by our most experienced and qualified coaches including staff who also coach Aberdeen FC Youth Academy teams. Content is designed to improve the four corners of player development with emphasis placed on technical, tactical, physical and mental performance. Players will take part in a range of activities that will replicate a professional training experience.

Any players demonstrating a high level of potential for a young player may be recommended to the Aberdeen FC Youth Academy by our coaching staff.

We have a close working relationship with the Aberdeen FC Youth Academy, some of our staff coach for the Academy and members of the AFC Scouting team regularly visit our Holiday Coaching sessions.

Did you Know:
Current Aberdeen FC first team player Dean Campbell was recommended and joined the Aberdeen FC Youth Academy following his attendance at one of our Holiday Coaching programmes. Dean has since progressed through the Academy and became the youngest ever player to make a first team appearance for Aberdeen at the age of 16 years, 1month and 23 days!

- Photo Consent (Photos may be taken for media and promotional materials, you can opt out of photography.)

It is important to ensure your contact information and preferences are correct. The information provided when booking is used for accident/emergency contact details and to share any key information relating to your booking.

After your first booking your child will be assigned a “DONS ID” for any future bookings. It is advised to notify the customer service team if there are any changes to your contact information or preferences.
