Louise M Baxter

Louise spent most of her working life in education involving arts and cultural education, being engaged with nursery, primary, special education and secondary schools during a 25 year career.

Louise moved into Cultural Services as Acting Arts Education Co-ordinator with Aberdeen City, and then as Cultural Co-ordinator for Visual Arts, Film and Literature. Her qualifications include Diploma in Art and Design, Post graduate diploma in secondary education, and Post graduate certificate in Special Educational Needs. In addition to her work supporting AFCCT Louise’s many other community focused activities include Chair of Castlegate Arts; Trustee at Aberdeen Council of Voluntary Organisations; founder member of AB+; member of Aberdeen’s Cultural Network Strategy Group, as well as being a Burgess of the Guild City of Aberdeen.

Louise’s diverse personal interests include Visual Arts, theatre, education, history, architecture, current affairs, running, cooking, reading and travel. Louise was born, and grew up, within ‘roaring’ distance of Pittodrie Stadium.
