Aberdeen Football Club Community Trust (AFCCT) is an independent charity, established in 2014, that works to maximise the potential of our communities by improving physical and mental wellbeing. AFCCT has seen a rapid rise in its activities during its first six years that has been recognised at the highest level, including UEFA Best Professional Football Club in the community (2019) and Queens Award (2019).

Working across Aberdeen City and Shire, the Trust has touched many through its significant work, in its first 6 years AFCCT has reached over 1 million participations across education, football and health and wellbeing. Our Alternative Academies empower our Scholars through a youth-led curriculum which meets the young people’s needs. In addition to the Trust’s extensive work in education, AFCCT also provides a range of football activities such as football coaching, camps and festivals; management of primary schools’ and girls’ football leagues.  The Trust is inclusive and works to improve physical and mental wellbeing across all ages in the community including the elderly and dementia sufferers.

The Scottish FA and UEFA commissioned report in 2018 to uncover the “unique tangible evidence” that participation in football has on the city and region’s economic, social and health benefits. It determined that for every £1 invested in AFCCT and football participation in the northeast, the Trust delivers a £10 cumulative return in conjunction with its partners.

We rely on donations to support our community across the North East of Scotland. Whether you decide to make a one-off donation or pledge a monthly gift, we promise your donation will enable us to provide support and opportunity to change lives for the better.
