TACC Breakfast Club
In partnership with the Tartan Army Children’s Charity, Aberdeen International Airport, Aberdeen Sports Village, Sport Aberdeen and Sodexo Prestige, AFC Community Trust have launched a TACC FC Breakfast Club with pupils from Seaton Primary School.
Every Wednesday morning, pupils head to Aberdeen Sports Village for an early morning Football Coaching session from 7:30am to 8:30am. The purpose of this is to provide high quality Coaching in high quality facilities to children from areas of social deprivation, with a specific focus on time management and starting the day with physical activity.
After the Football Coaching session, the pupils walk round to Pittodrie to have their breakfast in the Players Restaurant, all before starting their School day! Pupils have a healthy breakfast using role models from AFC Community Trust to instil positive early morning routines, social interaction and etiquette whilst having a meal. Pupils then walk round to Seaton School to continue with their day.
Steven Sweeney, Senior Scottish FA Community Coach said, “We at AFCCT are extremely proud of the positive impact this Programme is having on the education of the young people involved. Feedback from the School is that pupils are more focused in class, with levels of attainment and achievement on the rise. This is very much a multi-agency approach, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank our partners, especially the Tartan Army Children’s Charity, for their continued support.”
