Over £10,000 raised at Inaugural AFCCT Golf Day!
20 teams gathered together for Aberdeen FC Community Trust’s Inaugural Golf Day at Meldrum House on Thursday 9th June, sponsored by I&K Motors.
The event, organised by Steve Innes Managing Director of I&K Motors, raised a phenomenal amount of over £10,000 for the Trust.
Craig Brown was there to hand out prizes on the day, which included a signed and framed Adam Rooney shirt, a limited edition AFCCT presentation ball, a boardroom experience for two people and much more. There was also a limited edition Washington Whips print as one of the auction prizes.
However, the main attraction of the day was the I&K Motors winner’s shield. As 2016 is the inaugural year for the event the team that won would be the first to go on the shield, the lucky winners of the day were Turriff Transport Consultants Ltd. Runners up were Aberdeen Framing, longest drive went to Ian Grant from GPH Builders Merchants Ltd and the nearest pin prize went to Chris Masson also from GPH Builders Merchants Ltd.
Fundraising and Business Development Co-ordinator Debra Christie said “Thank you to everyone who came along and for the outstanding support shown for the Community Trust, thanks also to Russell Anderson and Steve Innes for their help in organising the event. The money raised will make such a difference to so many people.”
Sodexo were also showing their support at the halfway house to greet the teams with refreshments.
Thank you to all the teams who came along, as well as Aberdeen FC, RAM Tubulars, Meldrum House Golf Club, Huntly FC, Intermoor, Alan Still and AFC Youth Academy for donating prizes.
Also a special thank you to all the fantastic sponsors for the day;
